Streda Belvedere is located in Vinci, the birthplace of celebrated Maestro Leonardo da Vinci, in the heart of Tuscany, not far from Florence, Pisa, San Gemignano and Siena. The village grew up in the romanesque era, around the church of San Bartolomeo a Streda, whose earliest remains date back to about the year 1000.
The romantic borgo has been reconstructed in recent years and offers an unparalleled opportunity to spend a vacation liesurely immersed in history vines and olive trees have been cultivated at Streda Belvedere for many generations. Ser Piero, Leonardo's father, was already growing vines on his properties in streda in the 16th century.
The Lenzi family, Roberto first and then his son Claudio, has continued this tradition, planting extensive vineyards and olive groves on the property's 80 hectares.
They have taken advantage of magnificent site, where most of the vineyards overlook the lago di Streda, which lies at the center of the estate. They also further developed the potential of the local microclimate, already so exceptional for viticulture.Claudio Lenzi is currently working with a team of experts, in particular oenologist Francesco Bartoletti and agronomist Stefano Dini, on a project that marries togheter tradition and modern technology to achieve ultra-high quality and genuineness.Along side the various clones of Sangiovese they have planted international varieties such as Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet and Chardonnay, in order to obtain wines of ever-higher quality with respect to tradition.

The wine fermentation is made in steel tank at controlled temperature and after the wine age in small barrel of french oak and then the wine is bottled in glass containers for final improvement.
