The restaurant takes its name from its location on the corner of via Beato Enrico Comentina.
"The door of the restaurant is so small and discreet that it is like going into a private house" - wrote critics Gianni and Paola Mura in Venerdì, the Friday supplement of La Repubblica, continuing - "And fortunately this is an impression which persists, even after sitting at one of the tables for a while".
L'Angolo del Beato prides itself on its homely, inviting atmosphere, where guests can sample a series of dishes from Piedmontese cuisine made with carefully selected high quality ingredients that make each course an exquisite treat.
L'Angolo del Beato seats 40 in its intimate dining rooms with red brick ceilings, located in the heart of Asti in a building which dates back to the end of the nineteenth century.
In the kitchen is grandma Paolina, and young chef Silvio Gai, while front of house are owner Antonio Campagna, his wife Paola and son Marco.
The wine-cellar, Antonio's treasure trove, is a wonderful red brick cellar right under the restaurant itself.
This is where you'll find the great wines that the owner likes to call "my babies".
Over 400 labels featuring the best Piedmontese wines, with an excellent ratio of price-quality.
