Description

Tucked between the rock and the sea, just a few steps away from the famed BlueGrotto, one comes across Il Riccio, the new restaurant and beach club of the Capri Palace Hotel & Spa. After extensive refurbishments of the historic Add'O Riccio, the restaurant once cherished by Aristotele Onassis, the new Riccio's cuisine and décor are a tribute to the Mediterranean.

The venue's simple and traditional soul has remained untouched complimented by the genuine cuisine of the Mediterranean Sea. No unnecessary frills, but countless authentic flavours. Clients can dine at solid, hand-painted wooden tables next to the sea or chose to relax on one of the solariums spread over intimate terraces.

The kitchen has been entrusted to Andrea Migliaccio, young and talented chef from the Isle of Ischia, with the essences of the sea in his DNA. The dishes are those of the Neapolitan tradition: sea food, shellfish and Gragnano pasta, in addition to a counter dedicated entirely to freshly caught fish from the Mediterranean. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and during sunsets one can enjoy cocktails and a rich selection of appetizers.

The interior design has been looked after by Marco De Luca who has chosen the Mediterranean's characteristic colours and materials: from the blue and white dècor incorporating hand-painted chestnut woods, traditional tiles from Vietri and a collection of art-pieces and crafts all custom made for Il Riccio. Admire the sculptures of Paolo Sandulli or the ceramic sea-urchins of Rosario Remino.

For clients arriving from the sea, the restaurant offers a tender service by boatman Arcangelo, who shuttles the customers in his wooden boat to Il Riccio.

Il Riccio is also a beach club with direct sea access, its solarium offers lounge chairs and sun beds far from indiscrete looks spread over characteristic terraces

The restaurant and beach club Il Riccio is open every day.

The solarium is available every day from 10am to 6pm.

The restaurant is open every day for lunch from 12.00pm to 4pm; and for dinner from Thursdays to Sundays from 8pm to 11pm.
