The name of the Hotel is taken from its very siting, in the immediate vicinity of the Claudian Augustean way which was named after Roman Emperor Claudius (41-54 AD). According to epigraphic sources (two milestones unearthed in Rablà and Cesiomaggiore), Claudius had this important arterial road built in 46 AD following a layout originally designed by his father Druso at the time of his military offensives against Norico (present-day Austria) in 16-13 BC. The Hotel lies within the Sile river National Park, and is just a few kilometres from Treviso and Venice and their airports. Guests can reach the Hotel with their own transport or make use of our shuttle services to and from airports and train stations.
Antonio and Marina Tonolo decided to renovate a country farmhouse on their homestead and turn it into a hotel to permit guests to savour the beauties of the Veneto region, the Sile river and, of course, far-famed Venice. The hotel is set in spectacular rural surroundings, but guests can also benefit from all that modern conveniences and modern technology can offer. There is a substantial private park adjoining the Hotel, and ample on-site parking is available.
The hotel has 32 rooms, all very spacious, which have been designed with both couples and families with children in mind. The park, the ample parking facilities, and the fact you can reach Venice and Treviso so easily will all contribute to making your stay in Veneto extremely enjoyable. Our generous buffet breakfast will put a spring in your step at the start of your day trips to the many splendid sites in our region. We can lend you bicycles, or organize river cruises to Venice's islands, or you could simply go for a walk along the Sile river towpaths, and, in winter, find a roaring "fogher" (an antique rural fireplace and hearth) to welcome you on your return; all this will make the days you spend with us unforgettable.
The hotel is just 20 minutes from Venice and Treviso airports in the middle of the picturesque countryside around Treviso. We are a few kilometres from the A4 Milan-Trieste and A27 Venice-Belluno motorways, and there is also convenient access from the Mestre ring-road. The nearest rail station, Quarto d'Altino, is 3km from the hotel, and Venice is just 25 minutes away.

From the A27 motorway
Leave the motorway at the Mogliano Veneto exit and follow provincial road SP 64 towards Casale sul Sile. Once you have reached Casale sul Sile follow signs to Roncade. You will see the hotel 2 km down this road on your right.
From the A4 motorway
Leave the motorway at the Quarto d'Altino exit, turn left towards Casale sul Sile on provincial road SP 67. Once you have crossed Casale sul Sile town centre, turn right following signs to Roncade. You will see the hotel 2 Km down this road on your right.
