An incredible meeting with a beautiful nature..The Garda Lake give out a calm and delightful warmth that heats land, wineyards, terraced olives and hearts. Here everything is calm and traditional: the old farmers tell about ancient experiences and excellent quality of the produces of the land, which are cultivated in this blessed land.
The farm Pratello is situated on the hills, near the Brescia shore of the Garda lake. The farm is developed on100 hectares. (27 hectares are vineyards growing because our wine achieved very good results on national an international market!)
Morainic hills, which are born during the glaciation, give us an stony ground, ideal for vineyard.
The delightful and mild weather of Garda lake make an ideal microclimate to the ripening of grapes.
Since some years the farm achieve the certification of "Biological". Little plots of ground are destinted to berries ,which are used to prepare jam and marmalade .
A part of this farm is wood.
The other plots of ground are cultivated to cereals. Here the ground is cultivated in order to respect environment.
Thanks to Vincenzo Bertola 's experience, Dante Bertola's respect for traditions add to the agronomist Paolo Di Francesco's mastery this ground can give excellent produces of the land.
Vineyard extended for 27 hectares on the Valtenesi hills Garda Lake, here we have a great sadden change of temperature between night and day and microclimate is fantastic for vine, very best for maturity of grapes. Sun expositure and ground was testing by Paolo Di Francesco before undestand what kind of grapevine plant and growing. At last in according with Vincenzo they have choice 2 big zone, one only for white grapes, in front of the lake, and another one only for red grapes. They have choice also for Biological system. Production here is very low, no cut, less then a Kg for vine plant.
Wines here have marked characteristic, fruity - flavored - tasty or savoury and sometimes minerally. Dry extract: sometimes 32. Ground here is very poar, stony, calcareous, sterile soil, but at last wines is fantastic, full bodied.
