This is an institution which dates back to the 12th century and is manifested in the Palazzo della Magnifica Comunità in Cavalese. For its size (about 4,000 hectares), the animals living in it and the quality of its wood, the Paneveggio forest is considered to be one of the most important and beautiful in Italy and in Europe. Thanks to the beauty of the environment, Valle di Fiemme has become one of the main tourist resorts in the province of Trento.
