Sant'Alessio Siculo is a small town in the province of Messina; it reached adminisrative autonomy from the town of Forza d'Agrò in 1948.
Its name derives from the church of Sant'Alessio. From1452 to 1717 it was property of De Angelicas, Romano Colonnas, Furnaros, and Paternò Castellos.
Besides the castle, there are the ancient house said "delle decime" (of Tithes), the Quartiere di Mezzo which is made up of 1600 houses and a portal of 1770 and the sculpture "Alaluna" a work created by the artist Nino Ucchino in honour of Pier Paolo Pasolini.
